Thrifted Reiss

In America, a flapper has always been a giddy, attractive and unconventional young thing who, in Mencken's words, 'was a somewhat foolish girl, full of wild surmises and inclined to revolt against the precepts and admonitions of her elders.'

For a Christmas party last night, I pulled out one of my favorite dresses - a thrifted Reiss dress, with a bit of a flapper girl vibe.  I found it at the ever inspiring Brick Lane market, for one steal of a deal.  It's an XL, but I do love the oversized look, which helps to hint at the roaring twenties.
