The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy

This weekend I went down to visit some friends in LA, and for the fourth we went to the Tim Burton exhibit at LACMA (because what's more American than overpaying to see what should be free).  While it's tiny, there is some fantastic original artwork of the iconic Burton characters, and a cool sing-song glow in the dark room reminiscent of when Disney turns Haunted Mansion into Nightmare Before Christmas.  It's amazing what suburban disenfranchisement can draw out of an artist.

Mars Attacks!

Definitely next on my To-Read list.

If you find yourself in LA before the end of October, definitely go.  Tim Burton's genius is not to be missed.
